Imaginary Notes part 7

The song played in his i-Pod was ‘What If’ by Super Junior KRY. It did not really fit his circumstances now, unless they got the third person in their confusing relationship—which he extremely hoped there wouldn’t be anyone.
He remembered the meaning of the lyric pretty well. Vanz told him once.
‘Accumulated time is being greedy’. ‘I realized that I couldn’t be totally happy with that smile towards me’. ‘There was nothing special’. ‘It seems like you’re going to love me’. ‘I can’t leave you’. ‘It becomes pain’.
Though he didn’t know why he really wanted to become special in front of the girl, he was confused more by what he must do.
He has always wanted to meet that girl with dazzling eyes and silky hair, pink lips and a voice as sweet as a rose, like his mother had described when he was little. It was why he spent the majority of his lifetime ogling these mysterious beings, some gorgeous and some not. Some of them come unexpected, childhood friends who bloomed into women with enchanting smiles and eyes that sparkle with laughter and silver tongues. Others are the result of Sebastian's constant attention, his showers of gifts and sweet, sweet words.
He's always wanted a serious girlfriend. Someone he would be willing to spend the rest of his lifetime with, albeit with a few complaints, but always more love.
Now that Sebastian realized that he had a girlfriend, one whose name was Vanz, he wasn't quite sure what to make of it. Vanz wasn't so much of a girlfriend as she supposed to be, but she gave him the certain feelings, the warmth and trust he was longing for.
It was when Sebastian was a normal boy in his first year of junior high school that he stumbled upon Vanz Valentine—literally crashed whilst attempting to keep his eyes on the flying football—and thought that perhaps he might be suffering from a disease that might have something to do with sudden heart palpitations.
He had never seen such deliciously smooth skin, or startling pretty eyes, or such a set of lush lips on a girl before. Or perhaps, as his friends had teased Sebastian, he was too ignorant of his surroundings--his friend often said, "World was filled with gorgeous girls and, oh my God did you see her chest?"--and never paid much attention to the opposite gender. Sebastian glanced away because, god, should he be thinking such indecent things at such a young age?
It was the first time Sebastian believed in the term 'falling in love at first sight', and it was the first time he ever felt the exhilaration of loving. He learned that the girl--the girl with smooth hair--was a year above him. He learned that the girl--the girl who introduced herself as Vanz Valentine at the first day of training in the musical drama club--was a K-Pop maniac and a talented singer. And he learned that Vanz Valentine, dubbed as Vanz, was the first person who really captured his heart.
But of course, he didn't want to acknowledge it that fast. He was too tired of girls that come and go easily, girls that seemed to be enjoying breaking his heart.
He met a lot of girls that could captivied his heart; he met one when he was on holiday trip to Korea, then another at the park when he was ten, and so on.
It was when he was in his second year of junior high school years that he came across Lyla, while looking around the school library in the fervent hopes of raising his grades. Lyla was optimistic and upbeat; she brightened Sebastian's day with just a flash of her smile. Sebastian learned that this Lyla, his Lyla, was not as credulous as she appeared to be. He learned that his Lyla, whose favorite color was pink and could go--would go--to extremes to have her way, would do anything to keep the people around her happy.
But it was not his Lyla anymore the time they moved to third junior high school, of course, not after watching her kissing another guy at the end of the corridor during the lunch.
His life went quite a mess; he dated girls and broke up quickly, everything in the random order.
And it was during his third year of junior high school, that Elizabeth noticed him. Not just any Elizabeth, Sebastian reflected one month later, but The Elizabeth Bartholomew. The Elizabeth who refused to break any school rules--she simply found loopholes in them, the Elizabeth who walked with an air of confidence but really had nothing much to boast of, the Elizabeth who showered her people with attitude and got away with it. The Elizabeth who showed concern--in the most surreptitious ways--about Sebastian's past lovers and took the time to bring him out of his self-misery.
Elizabeth came first, came first in his mind, body, and soul. But Sebastian was too blinded by hope to notice the lack of heart skipping madness when they kissed. It was when Sebastian was had such delusions of everlasting love that Elizabeth decided to break it off with him, decided to ignore his phone calls and countless messages, and decided to move to Australia with her new boyfriend.
It was when Sebastian had no one else to laugh with, no one else to smile at, Vanz came. A lovable, beautiful girl who passed by when he was playing football at the end of his junior high school.
When he saw her for the first time, Vanz really was as what his friends described to him when he was in the first year of junior high school. She was really a girl with hundreds of talents. Unlike any other girls, Vanz really outshine and stood out. Her ability in acting and singing was acknowledge by everyone, even the famous musical drama club in the school. He never really paid attention before, but Vanz really was a perfect figure from every side.
Burning with curiosity, Sebastian decided to come a little bit closer to know Vanz by joining the musical drama club in his first year of senior high school.
But Vanz was not as joyful as his friend told him. She was particularly quiet, talking and greeting formally without any intention to smile. What happened to the Vanz that his friends described?
It was the same curiosity that forced him to greet her in the train. It was stupid, but it worth the try.
That night, after he was done thinking about all things that had happened in his life, Sebastian surprised himself by concluding that he really didn't mind spending his life with Vanz until he dies.
