Imaginary Notes part 11

“Wait, wait, why do you think I’ll be the first to marry?” Vanz stood at the edge of the stage and listened to the shouts directed at her and then broke into a laugh. "You guys think I should marry Sebastian?”
The fans screamed their approval and Vanz turned to look at Sebastian, still laughing.
Sebastian wasn’t sure what his expression was, but he hoped it gave nothing away. He was wearing his trademark smile, practiced and comfortable, as he stood next to the easel displaying the “results” of their marriage survey. He let the smile dissolve into a laugh as Reo elbowed him.
“I’m sorry,” Vanz was telling the crowd, her laugh now sheepish, “But we’re really not like that.” She flashed another look at Sebastian, her eyes glittering under the stage light.
For a minute, Sebastian wondered what he was supposed to understand from that glance.

“Hello, I’m Sebastian Mezuella,” he said with a perfunctory bow, already grinning on his way up.
Vanz looked at this boy, younger than her by a year and taller than her already. He didn’t look nervous at all now.
“Nice to meet you,” she said, and imagined that she wouldn’t have to be much of senior to this kid. Beside, this kid had already been a nice companion the day before. “Vanz Valentine."

“I don’t think you get it,” Vanz told him, shaking her head with a smirk. “Sebastian, honestly, sometimes you’re really dense.”
“Oh shut up,” Sebastian said, blushing. "You've gotta be some kind of idiot of saying that to me."
“She obviously likes you,” Vanz was relentless in her teasing.
Sebastian hit her ineffectually in the arm to get her to stop. In response, Vanz put on the earphone to Sebastian left ear and smiled. "Guess what's this, then."
"Our theme song, eh? 'It Has To Be You', right?" He smirked. Being a not-so-good-boy he was, Sebastian wrapped his arms around Vanz. Vanz jumped to the front to free herself and pathetically hit the wall. His laugh was loud as Vanz protested, flailing.
“I hate you,” Vanz complained, the arms sliding around Sebastian’s neck counterpoint to his words.
“I hate you, I love the song and I don’t like her back, so it doesn’t matter. Will you shut up about it?”

“We’re going on trip to Knoxville,” Senior Nicole announced.
A very simple sentence, followed by a loud cheer from everyone in the room.
“We’re going to stay in Vanz’s house.”
Now that Sebastian thought about it, Vanz was from Knoxville. She did mention about it a few times.
It was Vanz first visit to Sebastian’s mansion. Sebastian got off his car and helped Vanz open the car door.
Vanz stood in front of his mention—not surprised—with a simple small smile. Sebastian, though, was surprised at Vanz’s usual reaction. Everyone who came across his mansion would be amazed at it, including their band members—except Reo, of course—even though they’re almost as rich as he was.
“Nice place, flower boy,” Vanz said.
Sebastian just stared at Vanz.
“If you’re wondering why I’m not surprised at your mansion, the reason is because I used to live in a mansion too before buying the house here. My mansion is at Knoxville, in case you’re curious.”
Sebastian widened his eyes and Vanz giggled.
“I’m richer than you are, Sebastian. The truth hurts.”
Second occasion was not really different, either.
“The popularities of all members were still under Sebastian’s popularity, eh?” Lizzy asked, annoyed.
“Well, he’s rich,” James nodded.
“We all rich,” Lizzy corrected, “Only not as rich as him...”
“Oh, by the way, I haven't known yet. Vanz, are you richer than him?” Grimsby asked out of the blue.
Vanz just shrugged. “God knows.”
“Why not try to get more popular in school? Get a mansion and all that,” James said.
"Could you just be more polite?" Vanz asked, rather annoyed.
"Why not try and getting popular in school, Senior Vanz?" He repeated his question.
Vanz shook her head. “I don’t need to. My mansion and stuff is at Knoxville.”
Lizzy smirked. “I’ll be sure to arrange a trip there. We’re going to see how rich Senior Vanz is in a few weeks!”
