Imaginary Notes part 2

Together with some other friends—James, Lizzy, Reo and Grimsby—they made a small band which could be used in every and any event in school.
"What can you play, Lizzy?" Grimsby asked.
"Well, I could play the guitar," Lizzy answered lightly, "You?"
"Drum. Expert in it."
Reo laughed at the statement. "Expert, eh? You got talent, but not expert yet. But if you only can play drum, I have bass under my control, then."
"I'll take cello or violin," James said--he was the only member that has creepy atmosphere, and Sebastian never really want to get close to him.
"Wait, so who's going to play the piano?" Grimsby sighed.
"We can," Vanz and Sebastian said in unison, making Sebastian laughed.
Lizzy rolled her eyes. "Then who's singing?"
"We can," Vanz and Sebastian said in unison again, and Sebastian hardly even catch his breath.
"Then it settled!"

Couples of months past. Little by little, things between Sebastian and Vanz changed.
“Where were you last weekend, Senior Vanz? We remembered inviting you and you didn’t show up,” one of the junior asked.
“I had an exam, so I had to study,” Vanz explained shortly.
“Sebastian kept calling your cell phone all night long.”
“I had it turned off.”
“Sebastian was really disappointed that you could not make it.”
The mention of their name together increased; one name in the sentence quickly following the other one. People started asking them things like, “Vanz, where’s Sebastian?”, or “Can you please get me Vanz’s autograph?” or “I did invite Sebastian, but I don’t think Vanz could make it”.
They were clearly not attached at the tip with each other and people should have seen that. They both were equally popular and have a close friendship, but people make it like Vanz Mezuella, as if they have no other friends or so.

Unfortunately, that was the image they made by themselves.
Vanz looked at the clock in the studio room: 2:55. She sighed quietly to herself, only 15 minutes left. They had been listening to theories about drama for two hours, and it drove Vanz bored than ever.
All of sudden, she felt something bump lightly into the side of her head. She raised her head from where it was leaning on her hand looked diagonally behind her.
Sebastian was smiling at her. Her tummy did a small flip. Why was he smiling at her? Why did he throw a bit of paper at her? When she didn’t smile back from being too shocked, he scribbled something quickly on his notepad and held it up enough for her to see and no one else.
'Your hair looks pretty today'.
She almost chocked on her tongue. She looked from the notebook to Sebastian’s face. She could feel her cheeks instantly heat up and burn her fiercely. She raised her hand to her face and try to cover her rouge cheeks, but Sebastian had noticed and started to laugh.
“Sebastian, is there something you’d like to share with the class?” Timothy asked loudly, noticing Sebastian’s laughter.
“No. I’ll save Vanz the embarrassment and not share the story with the rest of the class in case her cheeks become even redder and burn off, thank you.”
She wanted to die. Or at least sink into the ground or just turn invisible. Sebastian winked at her, his dazzling smile blinded her, but still the stinging of her cheeks did not decrease.
Her mind was going crazy! Not to mention her stomach. Those butterflies were at it again. It was a simple compliment from Sebastian that made her like this.
He called her pretty.
She liked being called pretty. She hated the adjectives hot, sexy or gorgeous like most of senior called her. They used to call her beautiful, but she hadn’t heard that word in a long time since she played the role mermaid last year.
Pretty was a good work.
Sebastian’s smiling face was stuck in her mind, like it was super-glued there. His vivid deep brown eyes sparkled whenever they caught the light and his skin was like perfection. The black choker he always wore… That was the icing on the cake. He must know how good and mouth-watering he looked- it was impossible not to.
A perfect flower boy.
And he called her pretty!

What people said about them and their stupid romantic actions finally went to the musical’s drama leaders’ ear—that they participated a lot in.
“Vanz Mezuella couple. We couldn’t make a combination of your names, so we joined Vanz name with the surname of Sebastian,” the main leader announced.
It had been confusing.
“What do you mean, Senior Nicole?” they asked in unison.
“The Romeo and Juliet Drama. The main actor and actress are Sebastian Mezuella and Vanz Valentine.”
“We’re using the couple method,” the other leader, Timothy, explained. “You two are going to make the event successful by this method. Your close friendship will now be really considered a couple closeness.”
Vanz gasped. “You mean...”
“Lovers in act!” Sebastian shouted, overjoyed somehow, “I watched something like this before. Oh my god, it’s extremely cool!”
Vanz tightened her grip around her i-Pod to prevent it from falling with her jaw. “No way on earth I’m going to do that!” She replied.
Sebastian—aware of the situation that threatened his oh-so-cool drama—quickly turned at Vanz and pouted cutely with pleading eyes. “Senior Vanz...”
“Now he called her ‘senior’,” Grimsby giggled.
"Brother becomes all childish again," Reo rolled his eyes.
“Shut up!” Sebastian half-yelled, then put on the sparkling eyes in front of Vanz. “Please...?”
Vanz bitten her bottom lip, horrified by the reality that she could not win against Sebastian’s cute face. “Fine, fine, flower boy, you win! Stop showing that face!”
Sebastian jumped like a kid, shouting cheerfully.
“Senior Vanz really lose,” James commented in disbelief. “Sebastian has a really strange charm. That sucks.”
Reo just nodded, annoyed.
“His cute face is irresistible, that’s all,” Lizzy also protested with the same annoyed expression.
The others just laughed at the two—Sebastian was jumping non-stop and Vanz stuttered out syllables of mixture between embarrassing Spanish, Japanese and Korean in a form of a long curse.
